How XM account verification works
Verification is the review XM may run after a login exists. It is a separate job from signing up. This page explains why the request appears, how to open it in the member area, and what to check before and after you send anything. It does not list a fixed set of documents.
Why a review can appear after you register
Opening an account creates a login. Some account actions stay locked until XM finishes a review of the profile you submitted. The prompt, if it appears, belongs to the entity that serves your country.
A missing review request does not always mean something is wrong. A request that arrived only in an unexpected message is a reason to open the official member area in a fresh window and compare.
Open the verification screen from the account
Sign in to the XM member area first. Look for a profile, documents, or verification item on the account home. Follow that item rather than a file-upload page you found in a search result.
If you cannot find the item, stay inside the account menu. Do not email files to an address that is not shown in that session.
Check the details already on the profile
Name, date of birth, and address should match what you may later be asked to show. Fix typos in the profile before you upload anything. A nickname that passed registration can still stall a review.
Read the request that XM shows you
The live request is the source for what to send. This guide does not invent a passport or utility-bill list. If a field is optional on the screen, it is optional.
Send only what that screen asks for. Cropping or editing a file in a way that hides edges often causes a resubmit. Keep a copy of what you sent.
After you submit, and when it stalls
The account usually shows a pending, complete, or retry state. Refresh that page rather than starting a second profile. If the state does not move, use the support path inside the same member area.
- The file was rejected because it was blurry, cropped, or did not match the profile.
- You uploaded to a page that is not the official account.
- Two people share one login and overwrite each other’s files.
When the review is done, return to login, deposits, or the first-trade guide for the next job.
Common questions
Is verification the same as opening an XM account?
No. Registration creates the login. Verification is a later review that may be required before some actions.
Which documents does XM always ask for?
There is no single public list on this site. Use the request in your member area. It can differ by country and entity.
Can I deposit before verification finishes?
That depends on what XM enables for your account. Check the funding screen in the same login rather than assuming a rule.
When should I contact official support?
When the in-account status is stuck, a file was rejected for a reason you cannot see, or a request arrived only outside the member area.
